Curriculum Committee
The Curriculum Committee has a major influence on the product that is Leadership Redding.
This is a working committee that meets a few times in the summer and then monthly throughout
the program year from September to May.
The members of this committee meet with the facilitators of each program 2 or 3 times prior
to the event. The purpose of those meetings is to ensure that the topics pertain to the
general subject, that the speakers are credible and interesting, and that there is
diversity and variety in the program.
Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee serves to promote the Leadership Redding Program and
its positive attributes to the business community and general public. Our goal
is to develop high quality,
current, and informative material to enhance the efforts of Leadership Redding.
This committee also provides a conduit for the distribution of information by
the other committees.
Publications Committee
The Publications Committee provides communication regarding the Leadership Redding program
to current participants, alumni, sponsors, Chamber of Commerce board members, and community
leaders through the production of a quarterly newsletter and occasional submission of articles to the
Chamber's monthly magazine Redding Directions.
Recruitment Committee
The Recruitment Committee is responsible for the selection of the participants for each new
class. The committee promotes the program, distributes applications, reviews the compiled
information, and conducts interviews with the potential candidates. The committee completes
the process by evaluating all of the relevant material and selecting the members for the
upcoming class.
Speakers Exchange
The Speakers Exchange serves as a clearing house to provide
a link between local leaders in government, business, public safety, health,
education,
social service, arts, communication, recreation, tourism and natural resources
who have made presentations for Leadership Redding Class Sessions and the community
groups and organizations looking for quality speakers. Each Session’s lead facilitator
is an ex-oficio member of this committee and submits the names of their session’s
presenters willing to be available to speak to community groups and organizations.
Sponsorship Committee
The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for
soliciting sponsors who wish to support the program each year. Sponsors may choose
to help with cash or in-kind contributions. The numerous sponsors that support
the program on an ongoing basis are recontacted, while new sponsorships are developed.
The committee matches sponsors to individual sessions and coordinates the recognition
given various levels of sponsorship.
